About

Who we are

MIRO Analytical Technologies is a young high-tech SME from Switzerland. We provide authorities, scientists and companies with powerful tool to monitor and report on air pollution and greenhouse gases and therefore enable them to take action against air pollution and climate change. We use direct laser absorption spectroscopy with multiple Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs). Our technology has the potential to largely reduce the footprint and the cost of ownership for multicompound gas measurements.

Our partners

Empa is an interdisciplinary research institute of the ETH Domain conducting cutting-edge materials and technology research. We closely collaborate with the Laboratory for Air Pollution / Environmental Technology that has a track record of instrument development for environmental gas sensing.

ETHZ is a Swiss Federal Institute of Technolofy, which  is ranked among the top universities in the world. The dual-color QCLs were developed in the Quantum Optoelectronic Group of Prof. J. Faist, who was a pioneer in the development of QCLs.

We are supported by ESA BIC Switzerland, the business incubation center of  the European Space Agency in Switzerland.

We have received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 854804.

We are in the startup-coaching program of Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.
